Transitioning To A Fall Wardrobe

It may only be August, but before we know it October will be here and so will the cold weather. Fall collections are beginning to come out in stores but realistically, why are you going to buy a sweater when it’s still 90 degrees out?! While the chunky cardigans and oversized sweaters will have to wait, you can still get pieces that you can wear now that can easily transition into fall later!

I can wear the majority of my wardrobe all year long. Yes, the great weather in LA plays a role into that but I also try and purchase pieces that are versatile for all seasons. If you’re still shopping but you’re worried about having to put your pieces away in a couple months, focus on buying items in fall colors.

Not only do I love olive green, but I bought this top knowing I could wear it now and once it gets colder. I’ve been styling it recently with jeans or shorts and sandals, and in a few months I can pair it with pants and a moto jacket or comfy cardigan. This simple trick can help you get creative with your closet and make you realize that you can wear tanks and more “summery” pieces all year long just by adding layers.

I love purchasing simple items like this top and pairing them with a fun shoe or accessory. It doesn’t have to be boring just because it’s simple! Plus you can find so many ways to wear it. As much as I love statement pieces, a classic top is always a necessity. Finding items that can go with a large chunk of your wardrobe will help you make a smooth transition into the colder months. You won’t have to worry about purchasing a ton of new items because you will be able to mix and match pieces that you already have.
