Fall Fashion Essentials

FALL IS HERE! I think it’s actually upon us and I’m going to ignore the fact that it’s supposed to be 91 this weekend in LA. There’s no turning back. I’ve pulled out my sweaters and my leather jackets and am making my way into autumn (even if the weather doesn’t permit).

One of my favorite things about fall is the fashion that comes with it. I love the layering, the color palette, and the warm cozy clothing. If you follow me on Pinterest, I’m sure you’ve noticed my constant outfit inspo, apple cider themed cocktail recipes, and the overload of boots I’ve been pinning. Don’t judge; I’m just getting into the fall spirit.

My constant pinning has lead to constant online browsing and let me tell you, there are so many great fall trends happening! And now, I am here to share my five favorites. While I haven’t been able to purchase everything on my list quite yet, I will ASAP and I totally support if you do the same.

1. Duster Coat

I absolutely love the look of a duster coat thrown over well… just about anything. A lot of them are light weight and still manageable to wear during  warmer days. Dusters can easily become a statement piece for any ensemble and a staple all season long. Want to get one for your fall wardrobe? Check out the ones I found at Boohoo and Topshop!

2. Wool Hats

If you know me or have seen my previous posts, you know I adore a good hat. In my opinion, hats are one of those pieces that effortlessly pull together an outfit. They bring something basic from a 6 to a 10. I am always on the hunt for more hats and am totally eyeing these from Brixton and Rag & Bone for my next purchases.

3. Suede Skirt

The suede skirt trend isn’t leaving anytime soon and I’m totally okay with it. It is such a good piece to wear all year round because it is so versatile. These looks above prove that. I surprisingly have not bought a suede skirt yet, but it is at the top of my want list, especially these from Free People and Nasty Gal.

4. Oversized Sweaters

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to have too many oversized sweaters. This is what I live in during fall and winter months. It is my favorite way to stay warm but still be cute and comfortable. Sweaters are so simple to style and let’s be real, the baggier the better. They are so easy to dress up with heels or down with a pair of cool sneakers. No matter what your style is, a big sweater fits into any girl’s closet. I particularly am lusting over these from Revolve and Urban Outfitters.

5. Velvet Boots

This is my all time favorite trend this season. I’m not kidding when I say I’m obsessed. I have been searching the internet nonstop for the perfect pair of velvet boots that won’t cost me a months rent. In a perfect world, I’d snag the sold-out-everywhere-thanks-to-Kendall-Jenner Gianvito Rossi boots in an instant. But I am also loving these more affordable options from Steve Madden and Kendall and Kylie.

Well there you have it! Those are my absolute favorite trends I’ve been seeing this season. What fall trends are you liking? I would love to hear what you’ve been daydreaming about. Comment below or chat with me on Instagram!
