Stepping Out Of My Style Comfort Zone

If there’s one thing I’m challenging myself to this fall it’s to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to my personal style. If you have been reading my posts for awhile now, you know I hate the cold weather. Luckily fall in LA is never too cold and I can usually get away with layering a few of my summer pieces until the winter rolls around.

But so often I get stuck in a routine once the weather cools down. Jeans. Sweater. Boots. Done. And let me tell you, it gets so boring essentially wearing the same thing over and over again. Fashion is one of my favorite things in the world but for some reason the cold just really puts a damper on my creativity.

I’m not letting that happen this fall and neither should you! I’m already getting so inspired from the looks I’ve seen during New York Fashion Week and on Pinterest. Now I just gotta go shop!

I’m already slowly beginning to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to style. Last year you probably wouldn’t have seen me in these striped pants from Nordstrom. I have been loving the look of cropped pants and finally purchased these when I was shopping for my Europe trip. They aren’t that big of a jump but hey, baby steps right?

This season I am already eyeing so many things that will get me out of my sweater & jeans rut. I’m dying for a pair of white boots and am loving the look of skirts with over-the-knee boots. I’m happy I’m in a place where I can wear skirts without getting hypothermia. I’m also on the hunt for an amazing statement jacket (open to suggestions if you have any). Ultimately I need to find every cool piece out there so it makes me like the cold weather just a little bit more.

While I wish summer wasn’t ending, I’m excited for fall festivities. I mean, who doesn’t love Halloween?! But I definitely need to learn how to get more creative during this season with how I dress. What’s on your wish list for fall? Comment below and get me inspired!
