Podcasts have been around for a while and I’m ashamed to say that I just recently started listening to them this past year. I’m not sure what caused me to listen to my first one, but now it’s safe to say that I am addicted to them. I am constantly playing them as I’m getting ready or driving in my car; I listen to at least one podcast a day, mainly focusing in business and blogging.
I’ve listened to quite a few different podcasts in regards to blogging & business, since those are my main interests (and I may or may not be a blogger). I am drawn to listening to this genre of podcast because I love the feeling of knowing I’m educating myself while doing mundane tasks like doing the dishes or putting on my makeup. So, with my extensive listening over the past 9 months or so, I decided to share the 5 best podcasts for influencers & entrepreneurs:
1. The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast
This was actually the first podcast I ever listened to; I had heard about TSC podcast on Facebook and randomly decided to give it a try. Lauryn Evarts (lifestyle blogger of The Skinny Confidential) & her husband Michael Bosstick host the Him & Her Podcast and talk about a range of topics from entrepreneurship to health & wellness. What I love about their podcast is that they interview a ton of bloggers, influencers, and successful business owners where they share their journey as well as their tips & tricks in their niche. They are equally entertaining as they are informational which is one of the best things about it. Plus, you’ll probably end up falling in love with Lauryn and stalk her blog like I do now.
2. The Gary Vee Audio Experience
Gary Vee is definitely one of the top people I look up to when it comes to business. For those of you who don’t know who he is, give him a quick Google; he is known for being one of the first Youtube stars and has successfully created $100 million businesses. His show consists of both short and long podcasts, which is one thing I really enjoy. If I’m short on time I can play one of his 7-10 minute podcasts, but still get a lot of information out of it. He also does a segment called #askgaryvee, where he calls his listeners and lets them ask a question. Gary Vee always gives the best advice and you always end with so much motivation after you listen to one of his podcasts.
3. The Influencer Podcast
The Influencer Podcast is hosted by Julie Soloman, who is a NY Times Best Selling publicist. She interviews different types of influencers and industry professionals on a range of topics & trends revolved around influencer marketing. It is super informative learning how people got their start in the industry and their methods to growing their influence. Julie’s interviews are always super friendly and somehow make you feel like you are just hanging out with friends rather than listening to some formal interview.
4. The Tim Ferriss Show
Tim Ferriss Show has top industry business owners and extremely successful entrepreneurs on their podcast for in-depth talks. Tim Ferriss is known for his book “The Four Hour Work Week”, and is quite the successful entrepreneur himself. Hearing interviews from some of the most successful people in the world is something no other podcast offers. My personal favorite was when Tim interviewed Sir Richard Branson. He is already one of the people I look up to, but listening to his story firsthand made me like and respect him even more. Tim regularly has incredible people on his show and has interviewed other top business people including Tony Robbins, Arnold Schwarzenegger & Jamie Foxx.
5. The Goal Digger Podcast
Similarly to The Influencer Podcast, The Goal Digger Podcast talks about the ins and outs of influencer marketing and entrepreneurship. It is hosted by Jenna Kutcher who is a blogger, business owner, and social media influencer. What I love about Jenna’s podcast is that you always finish feeling empowered. It is definitely one of my go-to podcasts when I need a boost to get me motivated and ready to get to work. The podcast is a combination of speaking about a specific topic, which Jenna will do on her own, and interviews with different influencers & business owners. Each podcast gives you new insight and makes you feel a bit more prepared to work in this crazy industry.
So now that I have done hours and hours off listening to find the BEST podcasts for influencers & entrepreneurs, it’s time for you to go listen! Trust me, you will be so happy that you did!
